Women of Silk Town tours

As part of its Women's History Month programme, the Silk Museum is running special 'Women of Silk Town' tours of Paradise Mill.
This women-centred tour tells the story of the skilled and often overlooked women who kept the silk industry running.
Available on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14, the tour aims to bring the mill to life through their work, resilience, and everyday experiences.
More information and booking details can be found here.
Saturday (14/03)
Perfect Arrangement

Perfect Arrangement's run at MADS Theatre comes to an end on Saturday, March 14.
Inspired by the early stirrings of the American gay rights movement, this madcap, classic-sitcom setup gradually gives way to sharp, provocative drama, as two 'All-American' couples find themselves staring down the closet door — and the cost of keeping it shut.

Sunday (15/03)
Mother's Day

There are plenty of places you can celebrate Mother's Day in Macclesfield.
The Tytherington Club is hosting an afternoon of food and fun, including a drink on arrival, a traditional Sunday lunch and a range of activities for mums and little ones to enjoy together such as cupcake decorating and face painting.
Elsewhere, Amy from Pause Creative Studio and Kinga from Mama Kinga are hosting a baby-friendly focused workspace session for mums.
The session is described as 'structured, intentional focus time in a calm environment with other mothers navigating similar seasons'.
