Inspired by the early stirrings of the American gay rights movement, this madcap, classic-sitcom setup gradually gives way to sharp, provocative drama, as two 'All-American' couples find themselves staring down the closet door — and the cost of keeping it shut.

Sunday (15/03)

Mother's Day

There are plenty of places you can celebrate Mother's Day in Macclesfield.

The Tytherington Club is hosting an afternoon of food and fun, including a drink on arrival, a traditional Sunday lunch and a range of activities for mums and little ones to enjoy together such as cupcake decorating and face painting.

Elsewhere, Amy from Pause Creative Studio and Kinga from Mama Kinga are hosting a baby-friendly focused workspace session for mums.

The session is described as 'structured, intentional focus time in a calm environment with other mothers navigating similar seasons'.

Ukrainian Traditional Art Course

Looking ahead to next week, a Ukrainian traditional art course starts at Macclesfield Community ArtSpace.

Broken down into three distinct workshops (Vybiyka, Petrykivka and Psyanka) there are courses starting on Wednesday, March 18, and Saturday, March 21. Workshops can also be booked separately.

"Each session offers a gentle introduction to traditional techniques, symbolism and decorative composition in a calm and welcoming atmosphere," reads the event listing.

"No previous art experience is needed, all materials are provided, and every participant leaves with a finished piece."
