Macclesfield College's annual Apprenticeship Open Event offers chance to explore your next step
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 25th Feb 2026
Macclesfield College's Apprenticeship Open Event is fast approaching.
Students, parents, carers and members of the wider community are invited to attend the annual event on Thursday, March 12.
It aims to help both school leavers deciding their next step, as well as adults looking to change career direction or upskill.
There is no age limit to apprenticeships, which offer a practical route into employment while gaining recognised qualifications.
Tracy Cosgrave, director of employer enterprise and commercial services at Macclesfield College, said: "Apprenticeships offer real benefits for people of all ages, allowing them to earn while they learn, develop valuable skills and progress in their careers.
"They are also hugely beneficial for employers, helping them grow a skilled and motivated workforce.
"We would encourage anyone interested in apprenticeships to come along to our Open Event and explore the opportunities available."

The Apprenticeship Open Event runs from 4.30pm to 6.30pm on Thursday, March 12.
Visitors will be able to explore a wide range of apprenticeship pathways and speak to the college's recruitment team, who will be on hand to provide guidance on applications, CV writing and interview preparation.
A key highlight of the event is the opportunity to meet employer partners including the RAF, Royal Navy & Royal Marines Careers, Cheshire Constabulary, Cheshire East Council, Siemens Healthineers, Balfour Beatty, East Cheshire NHS Trust, Specsavers Macclesfield, Nestlé Waters Buxton, Shrigley Hall Hotel & Spa, Street Crane Company Limited, John Potts Electrical Contractors Ltd, Together Money, Otter Controls Ltd, McCann Manchester, HS Sports, Elmscot Group, S&G Response and TFLI Limited.
