Thursday – Australian Wine Tasting
Get the weekend off to the perfect start with an Australian wine tasting night at La Dulce Vendimia on Church Street.
Priced at £35 per person, guests will be treated to six wines and get to tuck into cheese and meat platters.

Saturday – Lunar New Year
Macclesfield welcomes in the Year of the Snake on Saturday.
Festivities begin at 11.30am as the dragon dancers, drummers and zodiac animals created by Art Space parade down to Park Green.
From midday, the United Reform Church will play host to traditional music and craft sessions, with food samples on offer as well.
Over at the Silk Museum, adults and older children can take part in Tai Chi sessions and learn traditional calligraphy and papercutting.

Saturday - Nap Club
Tired Maxonians are invited to a nap club at The Wellbeing Space in Silk House, on Pickford Street.
It is being put on to mark Imbolc, an ancient Celtic festival of light.
Attendees will have a chance to rest and reflect with meditation and yoga.

Saturday & Sunday – Macclesfield Book Festival
The inaugural Macclesfield Book Festival gets underway this weekend.
Taking place every Saturday and Sunday in February, Christ Church will open its doors to the pubic to browse book and artisan craft stalls.
Throughout the month there will also be live music, special guests, open mic events and more.

The Four Friends Painting art exhibition opens at Macclesfield Library on Monday, February 3.
Running until Saturday, February 15, the exhibition will showcase pieces from four local artists - Catherine Stephens, Hilary Raymond, Hilary Plymen and John Staveley.
Selected paintings, cards and prints will be on sale.
