School of Rock
BE Performing Arts are taking to the stage at MADS Theatre for their second production of the week on Thursday.
School of Rock is the area's first-ever production of the hit musical based on the 2003 film of the same name starring Jack Black.
A dynamic adult cast will be joined by two teams of local children to shred instruments and light up the stage.
The show runs until Saturday (July 12), with evening performances starting at 7pm and a matinee on Saturday at 2pm.

MaccPride Comedy Club

Award-winning comedian, actor, presenter and writer Stephen Bailey is coming to Macclesfield.
He will be joined by trained circus performer Aaron Twitchen and the high-energy Kate Martin.
MaccPride Comedy Club takes place at Cinemac, with tickets priced at £15.
Saturday (12/07)
Shine a Light Festival

The first-ever Shine a Light Festival takes over Victoria Park on Saturday.
Hosted by Space4Autism and the Rossendale Trust, it promises to be a fun-filled event for the whole family.
There will be live music, an artisan market, food vendors, inflatables and more.
Best of all, it's free to attend.

Townley Hall on Charlotte Street hosts Macclesfield's first Proudly Made queer market on Saturday.
Head over from 2pm to 5pm to shop a range of handmade, crafted, and lovingly created goods from queer creatives and allies.
There will be everything from zines, prints, art, and jewellery to bakes, textiles, and more.

Bollington SciBar

SciBar returns to the Vale Inn on Monday.
This month's speaker is Sara Tai, professor of clinical psychology and consultant clinical psychologist at the University of Manchester.
This talk offers a down-to-earth introduction to psychedelic-assisted therapy, explaining how it works, what makes it different from other mental health interventions, and what we know so far about its benefits and risks.
