Macclesfield College is celebrating a double success at the North Cheshire Business Awards.

The college's marketing team was named highly commended in the Team of the Year category, recognising the creativity, dedication and impact of their work in supporting students, staff, employers and the wider community.

Adding to the celebrations, principal and CEO Rachel Kay was crowned Businessperson of the Year, recognising her outstanding leadership and contribution to education, skills and the local business community.

Mrs Kay said: "I am truly honoured to receive this award.

"Success is never achieved alone and I am incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported, challenged and believed in me throughout my journey.

"This recognition is as much a celebration of our College as it is of me.

"I am especially proud of our marketing team for receiving highly commended in the Team of the Year category, a reflection of the creativity, professionalism and commitment they bring every day.

"Being recognised alongside so many outstanding businesses and individuals from across North Cheshire is a fantastic achievement for us all."
