Macclesfield College ranked as the county's best choice for young learners

The region's best choice for young learners is right here in Macclesfield.
Macclesfield College has been officially recognised as the top performing college for 16-19 education and training in Cheshire and Warrington.
That is according to the latest Department for Education national achievement rate tables, published at the end of March.
Rachel Kay, CEO and Principal of Macclesfield College, said: "We're absolutely delighted to be recognised as the number one college for 16–19 education and training in Cheshire and Warrington.
"These results reflect the incredible effort and commitment of our staff, the determination of our learners and the strong support of our employer partners."

The latest tables are based on performance from the 2023–24 academic year.
They show that the Park Lane college is also excelling in apprenticeships, raking first in Cheshire for general further education colleges and second across Greater Manchester for apprenticeship achievement rates.
Macclesfield College offers a wide range of academic, technical and vocational programmes for school leavers and apprentices, as well as adult learners.
Mrs Kay added: "We're equally proud of our apprenticeship success, which shows the real impact our training is having on students and local businesses alike.
"At Macclesfield College, we're focused on delivering excellence, raising aspirations and helping every student realise their potential."
