Macclesfield music artist Hatty Keane - who is inspired by retro fashion of the sixties and seventies - has released a funky new single.

Let's Fly draws upon pop's current love for nu-disco influences.

The track is punctuated with a breezy bass guitar and Hatty's broad vocal range.

Also packed in are soft airy synths, dreaming for a Los Angeles summer, and even a sneaky guitar solo.

Hatty's latest song will make you want to go on holiday once you've finished listening to it.

The London-based Maxonian had this to say her new single Let's Fly: "Welcome to my dream world: French wine, Spanish food (lots of it) & vintage cars in the Californian sunshine!"

Hatty, who grew up in Macc, has released Let's Fly with BGM Entertainment, who she has been signed with since 2011.

Her last single Club 69 bagged 85,000 streams on YouTube and Spotify.

She has also dropped mighty covers of the Staple Sisters I'll Take You There, Leroy Hutson's So In Love With You and Shirley Brown's Woman to Woman. These have racked up over 100,000 streams.

Nu disco banger Let's Fly is Hatty's third original song released this year. Following her Cinematic soul single Sing It and disco funk Club 69.

We last spoke to her in May for Club 69, which included our chat with her about her hometown.

"It is so lovely to be recognised by my hometown," she said.

"Macclesfield is a great town with such great history and so many creatives, I can only hope to inspire more people to go for their dreams just as I've been inspired by those around me."

Let's Fly joins the catalogue of impressive releases from Ms Keane over the last 18 months.

As retro becomes on-trend once more, so too has Hatty and her nostalgic sound.

She has 44,000 followers on Instagram, and a combined 35,000 followers on Facebook, and Twitter. Her website can be found here.
