A Macclesfield radio presenter has appeared on national television.

Darren Antrobus, afternoon presenter and promotions manager at Cheshire's Silk 106.9, has appeared on the ITV show the Real Housewives of Cheshire. 

Darren was asked to interview Lauren Simon who appeared as a housemate on the twenty-third series of Celebrity Big Brother.

"We filmed it at the Runway Lounge in Lymm about nine weeks ago. Lauren is a lovely person and we got on well," said Darren who lives in Alsager. 

Darren asked Lauren about her time in the Big Brother house, and fellow housemate Louis Walsh in the episode which aired on Monday.

"It was good to catch up with her. I asked her what it was like to be back in the real world. Lauren likes a laugh," added Darren.

The radio station Daz broadcasts from, on Adelaide Street, Macclesfield.

"I talked about it on air in my show too, so listeners could hear all about it.

"Quite a few of the Real Housewives of Cheshire listen to my radio show."

Beyond his radio job in Macclesfield, Darren is press and social media manager of Alsager Roundtable, doing good in the community.

Darren has been with Cheshire Silk 106.9 for ten-and-a-half years.

Cheshire Silk 106.9 will be celebrating their 26th anniversary on Saturday May 25.
