A local theatre will host a charity concert raising funds for a Macclesfield good cause this summer.

The Cinema Show will play a fundraising concert for Macclesfield's East Cheshire Hospice, who provide care for those with life-limiting illnesses.

The performance will take place on the July 9, at MADS Theatre on Lord Street.

The Cinema Show is an electronic 'history' rock band, blending their music with archival recordings and film footage to bring moments of historical significance to the centre stage.

Having toured the North of England as a duo since January, they are putting on a one-off live performance with a larger band at the Macclesfield venue. All in the name of the Millbank Drive good cause.

The band looks forward to welcoming you to a very different kind of musical experience, which manages to put a new spin on stories from the past, immersing the audience in a rocked-up history lesson.

The Cinema Show are multi-instrumentalist Doug Skelton, accompanied by Dave Skelton on drums.

The band have tracks about great 20th century inventions, sporting events, and even Sir Captain Tom Moore.
