It is easier than ever to get your COVID-19 vaccine in Macclesfield, but cases are still on the rise.

Despite the opening of new walk-in vaccine centres this week, some areas in Macclesfield still have some catching up to do.

Since last week, multiple areas has overtaken Gawsworth & Macclesfield Forest in having most cases. Last week, the latter had 23 active cases on the seven days to June 26.

However, Bollington and Central Macclesfield have 32 and 34 cases of coronavirus respectively. Central Macclesfield also has the lowest vaccination rates, however, this may be due to the largest concentration of young people in the Macc area, with many young adults just becoming eligible for a jab in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, Prestbury & Adlington are in a comfortable position of having the least cases, being the only place in our area with single figure active cases. They also have one of the highest vaccination rates.

This data is taken from the Public Health England interactive vaccination map which tells you how many people have had their first and second doses across the country.

Macclesfield Nub News has compiled the figures, and broke down which Macclesfield areas have the most coronavirus vaccinations and positive tests for the virus.

The data is sorted by the percentage of people in the population that have had their first vaccine, and had their second vaccine. We have also included the increase in percentage from last week's figures.

Listed in alphabetical order, figures are as of July 7 2021
