The annual Macclesfield Mayor charity auction is about to take place.

This year it will be a little different, you won't have to leave your house to do your bit for charity, as it will be a silent auction.

This means that nobody will know what each other's bids are, and you can submit bids now via email.

Macclesfield Mayor Fiona Wilson has thanked the Macclesfield businesses that have donated prizes.

And there's not long to get your bids in, as you have until the end of Monday May 1 to bid.

All funds raised from the items sales will go towards two local charities, Macclesfield Youth Brass Band and North West Air Ambulance.

Top prizes up for auction include a Thai takeaway, a gorgeous bracelet from Chestergate's PR Jones and multiple prizes from award-winning Macclesfield PT Matt Rigby.

Others include a valuable make-up prize, £200 Henbury Travel voucher and a cool print from Macclesfield art group Courthouse Collective.

Simply leave your name, contact details and bids for each item by emailing [email protected]. Full details on how to bid and the full catalogue can be found here.
