Macclesfield: Another new bar could come to town centre building
A Macclesfield building which last housed the bars Urban Vixen and Revolution could be occupied once again.
That is as a business called 'The Cave' have submitted for a premises licence to Cheshire East Council.
This is despite the last tenants - Urban Vixen - exiting the space in January due to 'structural issues'.
The application regards 91-95 Mill Street, which confusingly has a separate planning application currently being considered to turn part of the same site into flats.
The new 'The Cave' application reads: "NOTICE is hereby given that I, Steven Harvey, have applied on the 25/04/2023 to Cheshire East Council in respect of the premises known as The Cave, 91-95 Mill Street, Macclesfield SK11 6NN for a Premises licence to provide the following licensable activities:
- The Provision of Recorded Music - Indoors Thursday 19.00 to 02.00, Friday & Saturday 19.00 to 03.00 Sunday 19.00 to 02.00
- The Provision of Late Night Refreshment - Indoors Thursday 23.00 to 02.00, Friday & Saturday 23.00 to 03.00 Sunday 23.00 to 02.00
- The Sale of Alcohol for Consumption On the Premises Thursday 19.00 to 02.00, Friday & Saturday 19.00 to 03.00 Sunday 19.00 to 02.00
"Representations shall be made in writing before the following date: 23 May 2023."

Before being a string of bars, the site used to be a cinema in the 20th century.
