A Macclesfield music event next month will feature two top performers in one.

After a hugely successful concert with local West End star Gemma Sutton, Macclesfield Male Voice Choir (MaccMVC) will next be be joined in concert by The Caravanettes - a ladies choir, who are also Macclesfield based. Between them they will offer an enjoyable programme with a wide variety, from show tunes to spirituals, and some well known popular songs.

The Caravanettes has grown to 35 members having started with a few singers meeting in a caravan in 2006!

Their Musical Director Jo, joined them in 2021 and their ethos (like MaccMVC) is to welcome anyone with a love of singing no matter their ability...enthusiasm and commitment are the main requirements. They meet on Tuesday evenings at Macclesfield Library.

The concert is on Saturday 18th May at Macclesfield United Reformed Church, Park Green SK11 7NA, starting at 19.30. All are welcome and tickets are £12 per person with under 18s at just £5.

These can be obtained via their website at www.maccmvc.co.uk or in person from one of the choir's singers.

Tickets are also available at the Tourist Information Centres in Macclesfield and Congleton, Bollington Library and Knutsford Heritage Centre.

The choir can also be contacted by email at [email protected] or phone 07471 230513.
