The Mayor Making Ceremony for Macclesfield's new Mayor and Deputy Mayor can now be viewed on YouTube.

It was the first in person meeting for the Town Council, which we reported on last week.

However, the video of the meeting, which was filmed by Macclesfield Nub News, has since been posted to YouTube on May 26.

While no members of the public showed up to the meeting, those interested can watch the 55-minute video by clicking the embedded video above.

In the ceremony Cllr David Edwardes became Macclesfield's Mayor for the next year.

Macclesfield South Labour Cllr Fiona Wilson became Deputy Mayor.

There was also plaudits given to the outgoing Mayor Cllr Sarah Bennet-Wake, who served during the pandemic.

Elsewhere in the new upload, Macclesfield Town Council's annual general meeting can also be viewed towards the end.

Earlier this week, we reported on our town's new Mayor visiting a French restaurant with the Mayoress, who is also in the above video.
