It is the final weekend of 2023. 

Here is a list of things to send off the year with in Macclesfield this weekend.

On Brooklands Avenue!

A Boutique Baby Sale will take place.

A Special Pub New Year's

Lots of pubs in the Macclesfield area are hosting their own New Year's parties, some are free some are ticketed.

But we thought we'd highlight this one at is also serves as a final New Year's for a popular publican.

Long-serving The Swan With Two Necks landlady Wendy Smith will be retiring at the end of January.

So December 31 will be her final New Year's Eve at the pub, renowned for live music.

Macclesfield band The Chinese Marbles will be performing. Tickets £15 in advance bought behind the bar, £20 on the door on the day.

A Groovy Way to Start The Year

Macclesfield Castle Quarter venue Mash Guru will be hosting Macclesfield's funkiest New Year's do.

The funky, soulful, jazzy end-of-year party will be on the theme of Peace and Love. Something we could all do with after a tough year!

Live music from Rodina. Fancy dress optional. From 9pm and £10 per ticket.

Tickets can be bought by messaging Mash on social media, or behind the bar.
