What's on in Macclesfield this weekend?

Macclesfield: We've rounded up the best events you can get up to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Here's our picks for the events of the weekend...

  1. Live Classical Music
On Saturday at 5:30pm, Roe Street's The Heritage Centre will host an unforgettable night of classical music, as the Northern Chamber Orchestra will take the stage. They'll be Mozart, Prokofiev, Bach, and Shostakovich Tickets are £23.00 stalls, £18.00 gallery. Full Time Students and Under 18s go free. Get your tickets for this Macclesfield concert here.
  1. Evening Yoga
Also on Saturday at 5:30pm, a Macclesfield yoga studio will be welcoming those of all skill levels to a relaxing evening yoga session. Francesca Giusti of Pure Yoga Cheshire will be your guide for the post-sunset event of mantra and herbal tea. Just head to 29 Charlotte Street, and make a small donation of your choosing, wearing your best yoga gear. Please feel free to bring your own musical instruments to add to the zen. RSVP here.
  1. Rugby
Currently sitting in fifth place in the table, Macclesfield FC take on Preston Grasshoppers, who are third place in the North Premier. The Saturday kick-off event starts at 1:00 pm and ends at 6:00 pm. Tickets are £15 and food is served. On the menu at the Priory Park is Winter veg soup along with Steak & Ale Pie Chips & Veg.   1. Northern Soul Night
We're going retro in Macclesfield on Friday. As the Broken Cross Social club will be having a Northern Soul night. Just head to the Falibroome Road venue from 7:30pm to listen to the vintage genre as it should be, on vinyl. The event will end at midnight.
  1. Bollington Walk
A free real ale walking group is inviting new members and families to join them on their first hike of 2022. Bollington Real Ale Ramblers Boundary walk will start from the The Cotton tree/Turners bus stop on Ingersley Road. Bring your own food and water, but there will be a pub trip after. 10:30am start.
