Looking for things to do in Macclesfield? Then look no further...

Here are some fantastic events happening this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Macclesfield.

  1. Charity Drive-in Cinema

Capesthorne Hall turns into Macclesfield's biggest drive-in cinema this weekend, as a modern and all-time classic film gets shown to thousands.

Bring your family, car, and snacks of your choosing, as you can watch two films from the comfort of your own vehicle.

Disney's 2016 film Moana, and the 1987 movie Dirty Dancing will be shown this Sunday.

The outdoor screenings will raise money for Macclesfield's East Cheshire Hospice.

There's also a charity horserace in Tytherington this weekend for the Millbank Drive hospice, for which you can read more about here.

  1. Macc Forest Pilates

Macclesfield Methodist Church on Westminster Road will hold a pilates class this Friday.

Suffering from back pain or stiffness? Feeling like your balance & mobility aren't great? Recovering from injury and looking for a rehabilitation?

Their small group classes for beginners, uses exercises developed by physios to get you moving freely again. Offering a friendly, supportive environment, in the heart of Macclesfield.

  1. Pumpkin Pickers

Got your pumpkin for Halloween yet? There's just a fortnight to go, and it is never too early to get ready for Halloween!

Libby's Sunflower Patch on Macclesfield's Shellow Lane, near Gawsworth welcomes families to come and get their own orange carving pumpkin this weekend.

You can book your slot seven days a week, but it would make a great family day out this weekend.

There are just a few slots left, which costs just £2.50 to book.

  1. Field Manual at Mash

Did you know Macclesfield has their very own Americana band?

The sounds of rural America come to Treacletown this Friday, as Field Manual will play a gig at Mash on 5 Back Wallgate.

The band's lead vocalist - Chris - is the owner of Macclesfield music store AMP Guitars.

Tickets are just £3 on the door, and the band will play from 10pm.

If you can't make this weekend, the band are playing Mash twice this month.

We are hoping to interview the band ahead of their support slot for Phil Cunningham's bands Sea Fever which will take place on October 30.

  1. Macclesfield Pub Birthday

Ever heard of Rushton Spencer? It is a remarkable little village, that is within Staffordshire, but has a Macclesfield postcode.

Just 7 miles south of Macc, this idyllic village near the River Dane has a suitably picturesque pub.

The Knot Inn, on Station Lane Macclesfield, SK11 0QU will be celebrating their first birthday as a pub on Saturday.

Knotoberfest will have a special selection of ales, and a disco to commemorate the one year birthday of this brilliant pub you never knew existed!

  1. Five Past Midnight

Macclesfield female-fronted covers band Five Past Midnight will rock our town this weekend!

They'll play The Swan With Two Necks on Saturday, at 8pm.

From The Smashing Pumpkins to The Cranberries, their alt-rock covers promises a fantastic night in one of Macc's most iconic pics.
