Another weekend, and another new month will begin.

But just because it is October doesn't mean you have to stay indoors.

Here's four fab things you can get up to in Macclesfield this weekend.

Silkmen vs Bootle

Can Macclesfield FC maintain their 100% record at home as they take on Bootle this weekend?

The Silks have scored five goals or more in their last three outings, and hope to extend the five point gap they have on the top of the table.

Kick off is on Saturday at 3pm at the Leasing.com Stadium. Tickets start from £2 on the link here.

Senior Citizens Day

Saturday October 1st is Older Persons Day across the nation, and Age UK Cheshire East (who have two charity shops in our town) are holding a great afternoon of activities at the Senior Citizens Hall on Duke Street.

The three hour event has free entry, families welcome, and will encourages fitness and fun.

There are also gardening, writing, art and handmade item competitions with prizes up for grabs. Find out more info here.

Jazz Night

Travelling from Worcestershire is jazz musician Richard Leach.

He'll play his jazz trombone at the Bollington Arts Centre from 7:30pm.

The cultural hub just a short drive from Macclesfield town centre are also currently hiring a cleaner.

If jazz isn't your thing, there is also live local folk music on at the same time in Rainow.

Holiday 2023
