Every weekend we preview four Macclesfield events going on that you can enjoy.

Some of which are taken from our What's On section, where you can advertise your Macclesfield event for FREE.

Remembrance Weekend

On Friday November 11 at 11am the Mayor of Macclesfield and Royal British Legion Macclesfield invite you to take part in a 2 minute silence outside the Town Hall.

This year the RBL are asking the nation to pause, breathe and reflect on the service and sacrifices the Armed Forces make on our behalf.

Macclesfield Nub News will cover the event.

On Saturday there is a Remembrance concert by Macclesfield Male Voice Choir on Westminster Road. More info here.

You can also head to Park Green's Macclesfield Cenotaph at 11am on Sunday to mark your respects.

Macclesfield Singers Symphony Orchestra

KEMS Macclesfield Singers and Symphony Orchestra present a concert 'Songs of the Fleet' featuring the following music: Coleridge-Taylor 'Othello Suite'; Britten 'Passacaglia' from Peter Grimes; Britten 'Four Sea Interludes' from Peter Grimes and Stanford 'Songs of the Fleet'.

The concert takes place on Saturday 12th November, 7.30pm at St Michael's Church, Market Place, Macclesfield SK10 1DY.

Tickets are £12 or £2.50 for under 18s and are available online at kems.yapsody.com or from Macclesfield Visitor Information Centre on Market Place.

Warm Spaces at St Paul's Church

Located on Glegg St, Macclesfield SK11 7AJ.

Throughout the winter, a warm hub of food and socialising will be held at a Glegg Street Church.

"Join us on a Saturday morning 9-11am as we create a 'warm space' in our Parish Centre for anyone that wants to come along," said organisers.

"You will be made most welcome. We will be serving a light breakfast (cereal, toast, tea, coffee, juice) all free of charge under the Cheshire East Council Warm Spaces Scheme."

"We are open every Saturday morning 9-11am until end of March and from Tuesday 15th November 10:30am-1pm."

The event will take place every Saturday from this weekend, until the end of March. More info here.

BANDEOKE

Open until 1am on Sundays, 65 Chestergate, Macclesfield SK11 6DG.

On Sunday November 13, The Swan With Two Necks live music venue, Macclesfield is holding a Bandeoke event.

The event will take place from 2pm to 6pm on the Sunday afternoon, and families are welcome.

Bandeoke is like karaoke - but with a real live band instead of a machine playing backing tracks! The band is the Liam Read Band, fronted my local vocalist and Canalside Radio presenter Liam Read, and also featuring well-known session musicians Neil Marshall (drums), Dan Toft (guitar) and Tom Read (bass).

Songs can be selected on the day, or in advance, using the electronic form on the Bandeoke page on the Liam Read Band website - http://liamreadband.co.uk

It is completely free to take part, and is a great, fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon with friends, and enjoying live music.

And that was it! Have a lovely weekend Macclesfield.
