Each week, Macclesfield Nub News rounds-up some of the biggest and best events happening in Macclesfield for the forthcoming weekend.

Today, we preview four of the latest and greatest things to do in our town.

Don't forget you can add your Macclesfield events to our What's On section, potentially promoting it to our thousands of weekly readers.

Now without further ado, let's get going with the weekend preview.

Eco Activity

Duke St. Community Centre (Senior Citizen's Hall) is located on Duke St, Macclesfield SK11 6UR, next to the car park of the same name.

Have you ever been into the Duke Street Community Centre inside the Duke Street Car Park? There's some environmentally-friendly family-fun going on there this weekend.

Maxonians can create a cosy bird nesting box with help from Macclesfield Repair Cafe experts.

You'll be guided through the simple construction steps and receive advice on the most suitable locations for hanging your nesting box.

All materials and equipment are included in the fee (£5) and one ticket = 1 nesting box kit. Tea, coffee and cake will be available..

You have the choice of a morning or afternoon workshop, and the event will last 60 minutes.

Places are limited so book your ticket here. Find more info about the event HERE.

The ticket fee will cover the cost of all the materials. Any excess will be donated to the Cheshire Wildlife Trust who are raising money to buy land for a new nature reserve.

Classical Music

A harrowing, poignant performance will take place in St. Michael's Church on Saturday evening.

From 7:30pm, the Northern Chamber Orchestra will present a concert of 20th century music in remembrance of Holocause Memorial Day.

The concert features Rudolf Karel's Nonet, written in Theresienstadt prison during WWII.

Tickets for the concerts are £25 each, with discounted tickets for under 30s and free tickets for under 18s and students. Get them here.

Cinderella

The final performances of Bollington's take on Cinderella will occur this weekend.

Friday and Saturday will see Cinderella go to the ball!

This Wellington Road show at the Bollington Arts Centre is fun for all ages.

Purchase your seats here.

Mash Guru

The man who plays the horns on the world-renowned single Put Your Records On by Corrine Bailey Rae will come to Macclesfield this weekend.

He'll take to the stage at Mash Guru on Saturday. The 5 Back Wallgate venue will welcome his band Joe Tatton Trio.

For £3, expect New Orleans funked-up jazz and support Macclesfield's only permanent grassroots music venue.

Turn up for 10:30pm. Listen to their music in the meantime on this link.

And that is it! Enjoy your weekend.
