Without further ado, here's the four best events happening in Macclesfield this weekend...

Boogie and Fundraiser

Broken Cross Club of Fallibroome Road.

A fundraiser for the stroke unit at Royal Stoke Hospital is to take place in Macclesfield.

From 3:30pm to 8pm at the Broken Cross Club this Sunday,

A northern soul and motown disco will raise money for the good cause. All records are played on vinyl.

£5 entry on the door.

Summer Fete

A Water Lily Queen in her Swan Boat

The picturesque Redesmere Fete is on Saturday July 29.

The Water Lily Queen is rowed across Redesmere Lake in her Swan Boat to her crowning at the lakeside by the King of Redesmere.

The procession to the lake leaves Siddington Village Hall, (on the A34, SK11 9JR), at 1.30 p.m.

A traditional country Fete follows, with entertainment from the Rock Choir, Wychcraft Big Band and even a Punch and Judy and balloon artist. Teas are available and there's a licensed bar. Admission £2 for adults, children free. (Cash only event.)

African Art

Do Something Summer - Egyptian Clay

As part of the Silk Museum's 'Do Something Summer', they will be hosting an Egyptian Clay craft event this weekend.

Every Saturday afternoon there will be a new artsy class, which is free and open to all.

This Sat's Egyptian pottery event will take place between 1pm and 4pm at the Park Lane building.

Local Musician's Homecoming Gig

Lisa Tulk will be performing a hometown gig at a bustling Macclesfield venue.

The pro musician, who runs Macclesfield choir Voice to Voice, will be playing at Happy Valley Tap and Pizza on 73 Oxford Road this Sunday.

She will be performing acoustic rock, pop, jazz and funk covers as well as originals.
