A new collaboration will help support grassroots football in the area.

Bollington United have announced a new partnership with Macclesfield FC.

It will see Bollington given exclusive access to the Silkmen's facilities at the Leasing.com Stadium starting from the 2025/26 season.

As part of this, their men's Saturday first team will play their home fixtures at Moss Rose when Macclesfield are away.

A spokesperson for Bollington United said: "It's an exciting move that reflects the ambition of our club, while giving our players the chance to represent Bollington United at one of the most iconic grounds in the region.

"This is more than just a facility agreement – it's a big statement from Macclesfield FC about their commitment to grassroots football.

"By supporting clubs like ours, they're helping grow the game from the ground up and giving local football a real boost.

"A massive step forward for Bollington United and a huge thank you to Macclesfield FC – a proud moment for football in Macclesfield."

Bollington will also be able to use the Leasing.com Stadium every Tuesday from 6pm.

This will allow the club to launch a second free Wildcats session, giving even more girls the chance to fall in love with the game.

There will also be a new technical skills session open to players across the club, helping them sharpen their game and grow in confidence.

"A number of our teams will use the stadium for their weekly training sessions, giving players and coaches the chance to develop in a high-quality environment," added the spokesperson.

"This collaboration will also bring Macclesfield FC's coaching team and our own staff together – working side by side to share knowledge, raise standards, and inspire growth across all levels of our club."
