Francis Jeffers is to step away from his role at Macclesfield FC for 'personal reasons'.
The Silkmen's assistant manager has announced he will be taking a temporary break from his duties, following a thrilling 4-3 win over promotion rivals South Shields.
The former Arsenal and England striker says he hopes to return to the dugout as soon as possible.
Jeffers said: "What a result at weekend, fantastic character from the team! The spirit and ability in this group along with the unbelievable silkmen supporters is going to take us along way
"I just wanted to let everyone know that I'll be taking a little time away from the club for personal reasons.
"I've massively enjoyed the season so far and being part of what we're building at Macclesfield. It's a fantastic football club with a great group of players, staff and supporters.
"I'm hoping to be back as soon as possible, supporting John and the boys and continuing our drive towards what we all want — promotion.
"Thanks for all your support."
