Macclesfield FC share squad update as 14 players head for the exit door

14 players are heading for the exit door at Macclesfield FC.
The Silkmen have shared a squad update following the conclusion of the 2025/26 National League North season.
Just seven players are currently under contract for next season, including captain Paul Dawson and top scorer Danny Elliott.
Nine players have been released or seen their contracts expire, with a further five returning to their parent clubs following the end of their loan deals.
"We would like to say a huge thank you to all the departing players for their effort and dedication during their time at the Leasing.com Stadium and wish them all the best for the future," read a statement released by the club.
