Macclesfield town centre party to celebrate Silkmen's promotion

Jubilant Macclesfield Football Club are to celebrate their victory this coming weekend in the centre of town.

Event organisers Macclesfield Town Council said: "The Mayor of Macclesfield and Macclesfield FC invite you to join them in the Market Place outside the Town Hall on Sunday 23rd April to celebrate the team's incredible season and triumphant victory as NPL West Champions."

"Local radio station Silk 106.9 will be on stage from 12:30pm to build the excitement in the crowd, before being joined by the Mayor of Macclesfield who will get the party started, by welcoming the Silkmen to the town centre from 1pm.

"Everyone is invited to come along to Market Place for your chance to meet the players, celebrate the team and the town and show your appreciation for the amazing work of Macclesfield FC!"

So it is the first event of this kind Macclesfield Town Council have hosted since defunct club Macclesfield Town FC were promoted at the end of the 2017-18 season.
