An east Macclesfield home has just come up on the property market.
It is one of the latest homes for sale, being marketed by Macclesfield estate agents Holden & Prescott.
148 Buxton Road is the latest house to be profiled in the 'Macclesfield Nub News Property of the Week' series, where we profile an article from our sponsor Holden & Prescott.
Boasting three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a £339,950 price, the long-running estate agents had plenty of positives say about the Council Tax Band D property.
"Welcome to this charming dormer bungalow located on Buxton Road", said Holden & Prescott.
"This delightful property offers three/four bedroom accommodation, making it perfect for a growing family or those in need of extra space.
"Situated on a large plot, this bungalow provides ample outdoor space, off road parking and a large brick built garage.
"Although the property is in need of modernisation, this presents an exciting opportunity for the new owners to put their own stamp on it and create a home tailored to their tastes.
"The potential of this property is truly limitless, allowing for creativity and personalisation to shine through.
"In brief the accommodation comprises an entrance hall, lounge, dining room, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom on the ground floor.
"Whilst to the first floor there are a further two bedrooms and a study space.
"The property is warmed with gas central heating and uPVC double glazing is installed.
"The front garden has a lawn and planted flower beds as well as a Tarmacadam driveway providing ample off-road vehicular parking.
"The driveway continues to the rear of the property where there is a single brick-built garage with a pitched roof.
"The garden to the rear is fully enclosed within hedged borders and incorporates a flagged patio, garden pond, a range of rockery borders and a large lawn."
There has never been a better time to buy on Buxton Road. And that is not the estate agents speaking, that is in this writer's opinion!
In recent years, Nub News has profiled exciting new businesses that have opened on Buxton Road, turning it into a mini food capital of the town.
In 2021, Yas Bean opened their first ever shop on 219 Buxton Road, and is the nearest business to this dormer home.
Following their success, other high-end foodie businesses opened like Tommy's Pizza and Early Bird Bakes. The former of which, is open at night if you fancy going out for a bite to eat, but do not fancy the whole walk into town.
In 2024, Nomad coffee shop also opened on Buxton Road as well. All the above businesses are within walking distance of the home.
The nearest supermarket is the Co-op on Buxton Road, and you can also walk to Tegg's Nose Country Park or down Macclesfield Canal.
And indeed, the 26-year-old estate agents were keen to highlight the location as a top perk of the property.
Buxton Road also boasts a Chinese takeaway, an independent convenience store, and The Puss in Boots pub.
"One of the standout features of this property is its excellent location," added Holden & Prescott.
"Situated at the foothills of the Peak District, this home is surround by rural beauty while it also offers a highly convenient position for the town centre and railway station.
"Residents can also enjoy the convenience of nearby amenities and schools [Puss Bank School is the nearest school]."
Once again, the home is on the market for £399,950.
