Join us for a workshop for absolute beginners in a fun and relaxed session - leave with your own beautiful handprinted work on fabric and paper.

Inspired by Matisse's colour and forms, you'll use scissors or a craft knife to cut out shapes from paper, then hand-print using silk screens and squeegees. You'll get to choose and mix your inks and create multi-coloured and layered prints from simple but fascinating forms.

Take a break and enjoy the sun in the museum garden with a drink from the cafe, or wander through the museum's galleries and find more inspiration in the historical textile patterns.

All ages and abilities welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult.
