Ostara · Spring Equinox Ceremony

The wheel turns. The light returns.

At this ancient threshold of perfect balance between dark and light, come gather in sacred ceremony.

Something stirs in the earth. The days and nights hang in perfect balance, and the light, slowly, surely, is winning.

The Spring Equinox is one of my favourite moments in the turning year. That threshold feeling. The promise of what's coming. The sense that the world is holding its breath before it blooms.

I'm holding a small, sacred ceremony on the evening of Ostara, Friday 20th March, 6–7:30pm, and I'd love for you to be part of it.

We'll gather outdoors at the beautiful roundhouse in Kettleshulme, seated in circle around the fire as the sun sets. Held in the old way, with reverence for the earth and her seasons, this ceremony is rooted in my path as a Pagan Priestess, but it is open to all. You don't need to share my tradition to feel the medicine of coming together with intention at this time of year.

The ceremony will include:

  • A grounding opening
  • A guided intention-setting practice for the season ahead
  • A sharing circle, speaking what you're releasing and what you're calling in
  • Herb offerings cast into the sacred fire
  • Warming spring herbal tea, held in community
  • A seed to take home, a living symbol of your Ostara intentions

This is an intimate gathering held with care and intention. Please arrive ready to be present and wrap up warm for the evening air.

What to Bring

  • Warm layers (we're outdoors as the sun sets)
  • A journal if you like to write
  • An open heart - no experience needed

FAQs

Is this suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. No prior experience of ceremony, paganism, or spiritual practice is needed. This space is welcoming to all - the only requirement is a genuine wish to be present.

What does it mean that this is held by a Pagan Priestess?

This ceremony is rooted in the Pagan tradition of honouring the earth's seasonal cycles. You don't need to identify as Pagan to attend or to find deep meaning in the experience. Laura holds the space with care, knowledge, and warmth for people of all backgrounds and beliefs.

What should I wear?

Comfortable, warm clothing. We'll be seated outdoors around the fire - layers are your friend as the evening air cools.

Is the location accessible?

Please get in touch directly if you have any accessibility needs and Laura will do her best to accommodate you.

What is the cost?

£10 per person ~ to honour the space and the work.

If the cost is a barrier to your attendance, please reach out to me directly. I want to ensure that this experience is accessible to everyone, and we can work together to make it possible for you to attend.
