Macclesfield in May takes place for the first time over the weekend of May 3 and 4, replacing the popular non-profit Party in the Pews.

The festival will be held in Market Place and is free-to-attend, thanks to community funding from Kickstarter, sponsors and Macclesfield Town Council.

There will be live music from the likes of Sea Fever, featuring New Order's Tom Chapman and Phil Cunningham, and Kyle Falconer, lead singer of The View.

On Sunday (May 4), fans will have a chance to meet the players of Macclesfield FC.

Robbie Savage steered the Silkmen to promotion to the National League North, clinching the title with a 2-1 win over Bamber Bridge in March.

DJ and radio presenter Laura Beth, one of the English Football League's first female stadium announcers, will be joined on the decks by Mike Wain from Silk FM.
