1. Macclesfield in October Festival

A pandemic-delayed music festival raising money for The Christie will take place this weekend.

A Christ Church (pictured) all-weekend music festival is raising money for Macclesfield's new The Christie building.

Peter Hook, Space and Cabbage are the headliners for the Christ Church gathering.

Other acts performing the charity concert include Middleton rockers Space Monkeys and Jonny Brown of Twisted Wheel fame.

While day tickets have all sold out, full weekend tickets are available from £99 per person.

You can purchase them here.

2. Neonino

This kid-friendly disco will have bounce, D'n'B and old school house genres playing in the lavish setting of Shrigley Hall Hotel.

A brand new Macclesfield events company set up just weeks before the pandemic is hosting a one-of-a-kind family festival.

Neonino - meaning new child - will be a unique neon indoor fun festival for all the family. The luxurious Shrigley Hall Hotel in Pott Shrigley will be the setting of the dance and play event.

UV face painting and craft workshops will also be there. The team behind the event had organised school festival 'Hurdsfest' back in 2018 and 2019.

Ticket prices start from £14 minus booking fee, and can be purchased here.

3. One Project Halloween Spooktakular

This Halloween festival will celebrate the spooky season and promote an eco-friendly message.

Just before it gets dark on Saturday the 23rd, a FREE family festival will be happening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.

The Halloween event is ran by One Project Macclesfield, who spruce up spots around town with gardening and cleaning.

Just head to the Old Sunday School on Roe Street for sweet treats, games and more.

You can make sustainable scarecrows, spooky masks and more.

The Halloween Heritage centre festival encourages you to come in costume, to prepare for the big day on October 31.

You can still request to spectate firewalkers in Macclesfield, however, COVID-19 guidelines will be in place.

4. Firewalking

East Cheshire Hospice needs £7500 to run each day. They hold fundraising events almost every weekend.

And this weekend, there is an amazing opportunity to face your fears and WALK ON FIRE.

The Millbank Drive good cause will be hosting an ultimate mind-over-matter challenge, for which it is almost fully-booked for.

There are a few slots left walk on 800F hot coals by signing up here. You can also donate to the cause on JustGiving.

The Macclesfield Bikeathon will raise thousands for disadvantaged kids charity Just Drop In, of 14 Duke St.

5. Macclesfield Bikeathon

You have until 3pm on Friday October 22 to register you or your family for the Macclesfield Bikeathon.

The 12, 33, or just 64-mile course raises money for Duke Street youth charity Just Drop In.
