A small business in Macclesfield has caught the sporting bug.

Fresh from printing banners for Bollington Sporting Festival, and in the midst of the European Football Championships, Bollington Printshop has gone all out in supporting sport in the community and beyond.

Macclesfield Nub News went down to Bollington Printshop, who are a Macclesfield Nub News sponsor, to find out more.

Vikki Wray is one of the two owners of Bollington Printshop, which she has co-owned for six years.

Co-Owner Vikki Wray told Macclesfield Nub News all about their planned summer of supporting sport.

"During the Euros, if you spend over £100 with us, you will get a bag of branded goodies (That is of YOUR brand)," said Vikki.

"It is to really show people what they can do with their logo.

"It will be really good for artists to see their stuff on other items than just paper too.

"All you have to do is to spend £100 to apply.

Bollington Printshop has produced Euro 2024 wall charts for the community.

"Get your team's name out there for the Euros. Offer ends July 14."

A Euro wall chart has been released to the local community to help promote this offer.

Their four staff members has done a Euro 2024 sweepstake, and whoever wins, gets a paid day off work. (We are jealous of that.)

"I don't want to win, I haven't got England," joked Matt.

Vikki, who has Danish and Portuguese relatives, drew both of those teams in the sweepstakes, and England play the Danes next this Thursday.

It isn't just football that Bollington Printshop has got involved with.

They also produced flyers for Bollington United FC, and also worked with Prestbury Tennis Club.

Bollington Printshop can offer local sports clubs print material like programmes and leaflets, to banners, kits, shirts and more.

"We like working with sports clubs as it is helping out in the community," added Vikki.

"It is always nice to see how much goes on in and around the area. Sport is a big part of the community."

And one of Bollington Printshop's staff members is also using sport to help out good causes.

Vikki will take on a fitness fundraiser this weekend, benefitting 12 charities, including Macclesfield ones like Smile Group and East Cheshire Hospice.

The 12 charities Vikki is doing the Deadly Dozen for.

The full list of charities can be found HERE.

"I have been saying for years that I wanted to do a challenge like this," told Vikki.

"So a friend who goes to 5S Fitness in Macclesfield [on Hurdsfield Road], who are organising the Deadly Dozen, challenged me.

"I didn't realise I was signing up to one of the hardest challenges known to man.

"I chose to support 12 charities as the race is called the Deadly Dozen."

"There are so many charities out there doing great work in the local community, and it is tough to support everybody. But this was a way to support as many as possible."

Vikki will take on the Deadly Dozen this Saturday June 22, at Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

The race is an alternative fitness race, and comprises 12 x 400m runs which build aerobic power and 12 x functional fitness stations (labours) that work fundamental movements (squat, deadlift, lunge & press) which build muscular endurance.

Vikki will take on the Deadly Dozen with a friend.

Smile Group is one of the Macclesfield charities Vikki's Saturday fundraiser will support.

"I would like to say a massive thank you to those who have donated [or will donate]," said Vikki.

"It gives a massive drive for me to do it, and not let anyone down now."

Vikki wants to raise £100 for each of the 12 charity, which is why she has set a target of £1200.

East Cheshire Hospice, of Millbank Drive.

So far, Vikki has fundraised £725 shttps://www.gofundme.com/f/mubrg-12-for-12?qid=e1c7be2bbc2e387e848888d05c5b1323o far, with just a few days to go until the Deadly Dozen.
