A local opticians has struck a new deal with Macclesfield FC to extend its sponsorship for the third consecutive year, following the club's spectacular rise since its inception back in 2020.

The new season deal will see Specsavers, located in The Grosvenor Shopping Centre, continue as official dugout sponsor and retain prominent branding at the Leasing.com Stadium.

To ensure both players and the supporting team keep their eyes on the ball and focused on continued success, they will be visiting the store for sight and hearing checks.

The agreement will see the store's signature 'He shoots. He misses… Should've gone to Specsavers' advertisements featured pitch-side and on the dugout boards. The store will also be matchday sponsor for a home game in November.

Specsavers Macclesfield store director, Angharad Butler, said: "As a locally-owned and run business we're passionate about supporting the community we serve. We know how important the Silkmen are to local people, so we're proud to be playing a part in their journey as they push up the leagues."

The club's head coach and former international player, Robbie Savage adds: "Specsavers has been a loyal supporter of the Club since our inception back in 2020 and we're so grateful for their continued backing, as we strive to create something very special for the people of Macclesfield."
