A doctor swapped his stethoscope for drumsticks to raise money for charity.
Jochen Fischer, consultant orthopaedic and upper limb surgeon at Macclesfield Hospital, recently organised 'An Evening of Rock Music' at Broken Cross Social Club.
Headlined by his band, the Imperial Bees, and with support from fellow Macclesfield-based band The Filters, the event helped to raise funds to improve patient experience and staff wellbeing at East Cheshire NHS Trust.
Following the gig in September, Jochen has now presented a cheque for £331.60 to the trust's charity.
"It's been fun organising the event, but also a lot of work" said Jochen.
"My priorities were to raise funds for the charity, but also to bring people together outside work.
"I think between everyone involved we managed to achieve these goals.
"I'm already planning for the next event on the 31st of January next year at the Queens Hotel with four bands playing which will have a voluntary donation on the door.
"A special thanks Lily Preston (fundraising and events manager at East Cheshire NHS Trust Charity) for all her support!"
