Excitement building ahead of MaccPride 2026
By Matthew Hancock-Bruce 25th Jun 2026
MaccPride is just days away!
The annual celebration of the diversity, identity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community returns on Saturday, July 4.
Macclesfield town centre will play host to a wide range of family-friendly entertainment, including live music, dancing, stalls and, of course, the Pride March.
The MaccPride committee said: "We are really excited to be coordinating MaccPride 2026 - our ninth year!
"We look forward to seeing everyone in the Pride March, and this year's theme is 'Sound and Vision'.
"We're hoping there is plenty to see and hear on the stage, with an eclectic mix of entertainers as seen in programme.
"MaccPride is a space, centred on inclusion, visibility, and the celebration of LGBTQ+ communities, particularly those who have historically faced exclusion."

Meanwhile, the barriers on Market Place and Chestergate will be shut to traffic from 8am to 8pm.
