Award-winning frozen food retailer opens its doors in Macclesfield

An award-winning national retailer has arrived in Macclesfield.
Frozen food company, COOK, will swing open the doors to their new store on Roe Street today (May 9).
It is located next door to Majestic Wines, in the space previously occupied by Cheshire East Age UK as a furniture showroom.
Around a year ago signs went up announcing that COOK was 'coming soon' and that day has finally arrived.
Matthew Bourne, retail director, said "We are thrilled to finally be open in Macclesfield.
"We've had loads of positive interest from customers who know the brand and we look forward to meeting lots of new customers in the coming weeks and months."

COOK was founded in 1997 by Ed Perry and Dale Penfold, initially as a little shop in Farnham.
Their meals are hand prepared and flash frozen before being transported via their own network of lorries to COOK shops and over 1,000 independent stockists nationwide.
Being frozen helps to reduce food waste and offers a convenient alternative to a home cooked meal.
Over the years, COOK has picked up numerous accolades, with many of the brand's meals and puddings earning Great Taste Awards.
The new store in Macclesfield will stock a huge range of products to choose from, including portions for one, two, four and eight-plus diners.
There is also a 'sizable' selection of gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan meals as well as a range of kids meals.
Located at 34-44 Roe Street, there is plenty of parking available, making it easy for customers to click and collect.
