Joy Division tribute to return to Macclesfield this autumn

A Joy Division tribute which performed in Macclesfield last October, is returning to the same venue this year.

Cinemac Live on Roe Street will welcome Transmission - The Sound of Joy Division this autumn.

The gig will take place on Saturday September 7 from 7:00pm to 10:30pm.

Roe Street is just a three minute walk from where Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis used to live.

Since the last time the Joy Division tribute band came to Macclesfield, Macclesfield has gained a new Ian Curtis mural on Market Place.

Furthermore, Joy Division drummer and Maxonian Stephen Morris took to the stage at Cinemac, with partner Gillian Gilbert, in support of Sea Fever's gig there in June.
