A Macclesfield choir is joining forces - or should we say voices - with another choir in the county.

Fresh from a very successful concert in May with local choir - 'The Caravanettes', Macclesfield Male Voice Choir (MaccMVC) will be joined in their next concert in Knutsford by Cheshire A Cappella.

Cheshire A Cappella are an all female choir, whose singers live locally and together they have planned an enjoyable programme with a wide variety of music, from show tunes to spirituals, and well known popular songs.

Cheshire A Cappella will be led by their MD - Sue Ward who joined them in 2002.

Like MaccMVC they welcome anyone with a love of singing no matter their ability, enthusiasm and commitment are the main requirements. They meet on Wednesdays evenings in Wilmslow.

MaccMVC will be led by their MD Christopher Cromar, with their regular accompanist Anna Chiu.

The concert is on Saturday 8th June at Knutsford Methodist Church, Princess St. Knutsford WA16 6BY, starting at 19.30.

All are welcome and tickets are £15 per person with under 18s at just £5.

You can get tickets for the Knutsford event at Bollington Library. (Image - Macclesfield Nub News)

These can be obtained via their website at www.maccmvc.co.uk or in person from one of the choir's singers.

Tickets will be available at the Tourist Information Centres in Macclesfield, on Market Place, and Bollington Library, Palmerston Street.

The choir can also be contacted by email at [email protected] or phone 07471 230513, and is always accepting new voices.
