Happy anniversary! And well done on the fundraising.

A Macclesfield tap dancing has group rolled back the years, and raised money for a cracking cause.

Capper's Tappers, ran by Macclesfield resident Sue Capper, celebrated their 40th anniversary with a reunion and fundraiser for charity.

The tap sessions, held at Marlborough Primary School in Tytherington, have raised money for charity throughout the years.

So to do another for their 40th birthday was a no brainer.

Sue elected to raise money for Broken Cross and Upton ward charity East Cheshire Hospice.

Sue had this to say on how the reunion and palliative care fundraiser went.

"The 40 years of tapping celebration went really well and £200 was donated to East Cheshire Hospice," said Sue.

"Sadly quite a few people weren't able to make it so I'm hoping to do another smaller event in the not too distant future.

East Cheshire Hospice has been going for almost as long as Sue's classes!

"The tap girls were brilliant and my sincere thanks to anyone who attended and/or assisted in any way, including Marlborough School personnel."
