Macclesfield: New women's health pop-up clinics to enhance community wellness

A charity is set to champion female health in the community.

Motherwell Cheshire has announced the launch of a series of women's health pop-ups in Macclesfield.

The new women's health initiative is funded by Cheshire East CVS and Cheshire and MerseySide Cancer Alliance.  

These innovative pop-ups will offer a range of services, including health screenings, mental health support, and wellness workshops, to address the diverse needs of women in the community. 

The aim is to empowering women through accessible pop-ups, and the first in a series of Macclesfield dates has been confirmed.

The first new pop-up will take place at the Macclesfield Family Centre, Town Hall, Macclesfield, SK10 1EA, on Wednesday June 12 from 12:30pm to 2pm.

Motherwell Cheshire, a local charity dedicated to supporting women and families, prides itself on providing the importance of accessible healthcare services for women.

The new pop-ups from the Crewe-based charity are designed to bring essential health services closer to women who may face barriers in accessing traditional healthcare settings. By providing these services in convenient locations throughout Cheshire, Motherwell Cheshire aims to ensure that every woman has the opportunity to prioritise her health and wellbeing. 

The Women's Health Pop-ups will offer a variety of free and confidential services, including: 

  • Health Screenings: Blood pressure checks 
  • Mental Health Support: One-on-one counselling sessions, stress management workshops, and support groups. 
  • Bra fittings : The Motherwell Team are trained to offer bar fittings 
  • Pre loved bras : The pop ups will offer a full range of good quality pre loved bras 
  • Wellbeing bags: offering a range of self care goodies 
  • Informative Women's Health Booklets : Provided by Cheshire and MerseySide Cancer Alliance 

Kate Blakemore, CEO of Motherwell Cheshire, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative: "We are thrilled to launch our Women's Health Pop-Ups in Cheshire. Our goal is to break down barriers and provide informative and supportive information to women in Cheshire. We believe that by bringing our pop ups into the heart of our communities, we can empower women to take charge of their health and wellbeing and lead happier, healthier lives."
