This time last week, Macclesfield Nub News reported on a science company wanting to move into Tytherington Business Park.
One week on, 42 residents have objected to the planning application over chimney concerns.
Orbit Investments (Properties) Ltd want to build two chimney stacks and plant equipment on a Macclesfield business park so a medical research company can move into a former office block.
But local residents are questioning whether there could be health implications if the chimneys are sited so close to their homes.
One objector, who lives on Wesley Close, wrote on the Cheshire East Council planning application: "[It is] too close to residential housing, and what toxic substances/pollution will be in the air or noise if chimney building built?
"Don't build houses if you are then going to put this in the middle of two new estates. It will also impact house values."
Another, who lives on Merlin Close, said: "I don't believe this will be good for the health of the local residents including my children, and bad for the nursery's children nearby the property in question."
Comments can be submitted until May 10. Peakside House is a two-storey office building located off Alder Court on the business park (or business village as it is sometimes known).
The wider Tytherington Business Park also includes a hotel, pub, a beauty salon and a range of business and industrial units. Bright Horizons children's nursery is located south of Springwood Way.
A design and access statement submitted by The Emerson Group Planning Department on behalf of the applicant, states: "The proposed tenant would be a contract research organisation in the life sciences sector, offering services primarily to drug discovery companies and delivering projects for the pre-clinical development of new treatments for unmet clinical need in areas such as oncology.
"The services offered are focused on laboratory-based chemistry drug discovery using highly trained research staff.
"The new bespoke laboratory facility is envisaged to accommodate approximately 100 staff, with more than 80 based in research lab roles."
It says the typical operational hours would be 7.30am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
"There would be two new chimney stacks with associated plant equipment to the south elevation of the building and additional plant equipment to the west and east elevations," says the planning document.
"The proposal also includes additional compound areas for condensers and cylinder storage to the south elevation. There would be 2.5m high screening surrounding the proposed plant equipment. The proposal also includes the removal of some of the existing air condenser units to the south elevation as the existing condenser units would be redundant as there would only be a requirement for eight new condensers. The location of the condensers would be positioned around the fume extract systems."
The Local Democracy Reporting Service has contacted the applicant's planning agent for a response to concerns raised by residents.
