A Bollington restaurant has expanded with a new outdoor area.
KIRA By Sunitha which opened in late December, had a three-phase expansion to open an upstairs bar in February and an outdoor garden in the summer.
The latter of which, has opened this month.
The new Garden Lounge bar has its own draught beer taps, and is the third bar inside the Bollington venue, meaning you can now get served an ice cold drink faster than ever.
"We want it to be a space where people can feel like they can come, have a drink, relax," said owner Sunitha Southern.
"It is very cosy, very small. You can sit there, bring your fur babies [dogs] there and enjoy the nice weather.
"We've just brought on some new Spanish beers and daiquiris which is perfect for outside as well."
You don't have to order food, but the full menu is available outside and a more customised outdoor menu for nibbles is to come.
The venue also has a bar area inside and an upstairs bar in addition to the large restaurant area and this outdoor space.
And also new this weekend is their bottomless brunch, which will see the return of dishes Sunitha used to cook inside a food truck on the Bollington Recreation Ground under the moniker The Indian Goat.
The new bottomless brunch is £35pp.
To book for Sunday's inaugural bottomless brunch, please book HERE or ring 01625 575752.
The new outdoor area seats 25. It is the only space at KIRA By Sunitha that doesn't play music, instead customers are blessed with the sounds of the adjacent river.
"The community have loved the new outdoor area so far," added Sunitha.
"We have a wedding here tomorrow. With four different rooms we are perfect for any occasion. And we don't have a hire cost in this building.
"We have also introduced new menu items. As we are inspired by the southern part of India, our menu has lots of healing properties particularly for hot days, so your body stays cooler.
"Our seasonal menu has brought in lots of dishes like rhubarb, coconut, coconut milk, ginger. All ingredients that will keep you cool. All the fish dishes are super light as well."
You don't have to book to try out the new outdoor area, or indeed anywhere in the restaurant, but you can book HERE.
They are open Wednesday to Sunday. You can also order their food for takeaway.
