A cat currently being fostered in Macclesfield, is after a permanent home.

Toshka is an adorable domestic shorthair cat, currently up for adoption in Macclesfield.

RSPCA Macclesfield had this to say about the cat's backstory: "Toshka found herself in an overwhelming and traumatic situation when her owner passed away."

"The neighbours contacted the RSPCA. She was shut outside and was very elusive but she was soon brought to safety.

"Toshka is a very pleasant and easy cat to be around. After taking a few weeks to settle with us, she has now become settled in her foster home.

"She is quite an independent cat and likes her own space although at points in the day, she will come and meow for a fuss. She particularly likes the top of her head having a good scratch!

"She is fully litter trained and has got into a good routine with her feeding times in the morning and evening.

"As well as loving when the cat food pouch comes out, she loves to cuddle herself up by a radiator or, more recently, sun herself in a window.

"Toshka would make a lovely addition to a home that is looking for a loving cat that does not require too much input.

"She may not show herself well to strangers but please don't let that put you off. She'll need time and patience in a new home to let her blossom at her own pace. She'll need a pet free home.

"We believe her to be neutered. She's been health checked and vaccinated. A healthy feline too!"

The female feline is six years old.

Toshka is a girl's name of Slavic origin, meaning 'highly praiseworthy'.

And you too could honour Toshka by welcoming her into your lives.

If you want to share your home Toshka, please email [email protected], or head to this link.

Toshka isn't the only Macclesfield cat seeking a new home, as Nub News has previously re-paw-ted.
