An eatery in Macclesfield has announced they are keeping prices the same - despite inflation and the cost of living crisis.

Ethos Concept Store, a café and lifestyle store which opened in April 2021, have also introduced a new morning deal for those who fancy a quick coffee and a bite to eat.

Ethos' co-founder Adonis Norouznia, who lives in Macclesfield, moved to the UK from the Greek island of Santorini six years ago.

He explained why he has froze his prices and introduced a new 'Breakfast Club', offering discounted coffee and pancakes.

"We're delighted to introduce our Breakfast Club," said Adonis.

"Between 9am & 11am every day [even on Treacle Sundays], you can get yourself a regular-sized coffee for £2.50.

"This applies to Americano, Flat White, Latte and Cappuccino coffees.

"And if you fancy a Pancake Stack, you can get a free coffee with every order of pancakes.

Despite the rise of wages, Omicron and the cost of living crisis, Ethos are keeping their prices the same for the foreseeable future. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

The vegan pancakes are homemade and made to order.

He wants to introduce new customers to his business through the offer, which has no end date currently in sight.

A new menu will also be launched, offering some of their other breakfast options during brunch as well.

Additions will include a vegan Full English Breakfast, as well as a sweet custard filo pastry, inspired by the business' Greek Origin.

"We've also decided to keep our prices the same," added Adonis.

"We haven't changed our prices since January of this year. Despite all of our suppliers and energy costs rising in April, we've kept our costs the same.

"Despite the costs of living continuing to rise, we still have no intention of raising any prices. We want to help people.

"Seeing people not being able to afford to eat out is something we don't want to make worse. We want people to eat cheaper.

"This is despite vegan products especially rising in price, as they are in more limited supply.

"By choosing to support our small business, you're choosing to support our family. For which we're forever grateful. Thank you Macclesfield."

Ethos has a history of helping out. This time last year, they fundraised to support victims of the Greek wildfires in Evia.

They also allow an independent baker from Macclesfield to sell her vegan celebration cakes outside during the Treacle Market.

Ethos are open seven days a week from 9am to 6pm.

They also sell pantry products as well as freshly-cooked vegan meals.

Both eat-in and take-out options are available on all their drinks and dishes.

They were granted an alcohol licence earlier in the year, in time for their one-year anniversary.

Sales are up from this time last year, so Adonis has elected to keep prices the same for his customers, despite everything going on in the world. (Image - Alexander Greensmith / Macclesfield Nub News)

Ethos is located at 34 Chestergate, Macclesfield SK11 6BA.
