Macclesfield family keep late son's Scouting passion alive with fundraising efforts

A father is on a mission to ensure his late son is never forgotten.
Macclesfield resident Isaac Arrowsmith passed away earlier this month aged just 19 following a short illness.
His father, Neil Arrowsmith, has set out to honour his legacy by raising money for his son's beloved 3rd Macclesfield Upton Priory Scout Group.
Neil said: "Isaac dedicated so much time to being part of an amazing community in fundraising, supporting local charities and community work.
"Scouts is and always will be very close to Isaac's heart.
"His mother and I want to honour his legacy so that he is never forgotten in a way that helps other young people reach their potential and build friendships.
"Scouting is so underrated. The work they all do is incredible. The leaders, the volunteers, the parents who help create this remarkable family will always need support, and Isaac will want to continue being part of the family at 3rd Macclesfield."

Isaac had been unwell over the festive period, in and out of A&E with breathing difficulties and coughing up blood.
On Friday, January 2, Neil received a call from Isaac's mother, Louise, to say their son was in a bad way.
When Neil arrived at the house, he found Isaac struggling to breathe.
While waiting for an ambulance, Isaac suffered a cardiac arrest and died whilst his father performed CPR on him.
It is understood Isaac died as a result of a pulmonary embolism arising from a deep vein thrombosis.
Alongside his parents, he leaves behind two younger siblings, Naomi and Luke.
Neil, 45, said: "There are no words. It hasn't fully sunk in yet.
"To lose a son and a brother for Isaac's siblings so suddenly just cannot be explained.
"Nothing can describe the feeling we have. We expect him to text or call, or walk in.
"He was our boy and he will be with us forever."

Isaac was a part of 3rd Macclesfield Scouts for many years, from Cubs all the way to Explorers.
In 2016, he won the inaugural Ian McIntosh Scout of the Year Award.
Neil said: "Louise and I want his memory to live on and to create a legacy where young people have as many opportunities to thrive.
"In a world where young people have so many challenges, we want to support 3rd Macclesfield in the amazing work they do."
At the time of writing, over £1,300 has been donated to the JustGiving page setup in Isaac's memory.
Neil added: "It has been incredible.
"The initial target was £1,000. How far we can go and how much we can raise after such an amazing response is difficult to say, but the more we can raise the better."
