Macclesfield College Open Event

Macclesfield College hosts its first open event of the year this week.
From 5.30pm to 7pm, you can visit the college on Park Lane to find out more about the courses they offer.
Take a tour of their modern campus and chat with tutors about pathways to university, apprenticeships or career progression.

Rhythm Time Bollington

Rhythm Time is offering an exclusive two week free trial for their toddler and preschool class at 10.15am at their new venue, Bollington Arts Centre.
These classes use music, movement and instruments to support early development, helping children build confidence, listening skills, coordination, communication and social interaction in a fun, friendly and relaxed environment.

Macclesfield Lantern Festival

This new-look event combines Macclesfield Town Council's popular Lantern Parade and and Northern Light events for a free-to-attend spectacle.
The parade will set off from the Silk Museum at 5pm, heading up Mill Street before finishing in Market Place.
Here, you will be able to enjoy food, drink, performances and more until 7.30pm.

Treacle Market

An early Treacle Market this month and with Valentine's Day just around the corner, it offers an opportunity to find the perfect gift for your loved one.
Expect more than 140 stalls selling everything from sweet treats and homeware to locally brewed booze and imported rugs.
The Treacle Market runs from 10am to 3.30pm, with stalls found on Exchange street, Mill Street, Castle street, Market Place, The Butter Market, St Michael's Churchyard, upper Market Place and Chestergate.
Fire Cider Making Workshop

Head over to Rootstock in Bollington and learn the ancient recipe for 'fire cider'.
This cocktail of fruit, veg, aromatics and vinegar can be used to stave off the lurgy, and offer a bit of warmth to your winter mornings.
