Residents of Macclesfield being invited to aid Macclesfield FC's promotion push by filling out their stadium for their last home fixtures.

The Silkmen currently sit top of the North West Counties Football League Premier Division, in their first ever season.

They have eight matches left, and four of them are in Macclesfield at the Leasing.com Stadium.

Macclesfield FC would love to have as many fans as possible, filling out the 4360 capacity ground so the players can get all the support required to spur them onto promotion.

In a statement, Macclesfield FC said: "With just four home games remaining, now really is the time to back The Silkmen as we look to secure the most evocative of promotions."

"Danny Whitaker's side currently lead the NWCFL Premier Division and are well-placed to claim promotion at the very first attempt – yet we need our magnificent supporters to help us over the line.

"Starting this Saturday, you can be a massive part of how the story of our inaugural season ends as we welcome Longridge Town to the Leasing.com Stadium.

"Over 3,000 tickets have already been sold, which is a remarkable achievement in itself – but we know that with the passion and belief around the town we can boast another sell-out crowd.

"Following on from this weekend, we welcome Ashton Athletic on Saturday March 12 and Avro a week later in what could well prove to be decisive encounters.

"All this will set the scene for our final game of the 2021/22 campaign, as we welcome AFC Liverpool to the Leasing.com Stadium on Saturday April 2.

"It goes without saying that we fully expect this to be a memorable occasion and one which will be remembered by all who attend forevermore.

"So make sure that you help us create unforgettable memories by securing your tickets for our final four home games now!"
