Macclesfield: Loola Loves moves to bigger and better premises with launch this weekend
A Macclesfield gift shop has moved three doors down.
Loola Loves, now of 75 Chestergate, will open their new home this Saturday.
They are now located where Vac-Care used to be, before Vac-Care closed due to retirement.
Macclesfield resident Louise Bullock runs the gift shop, which has graduated from a Macclesfield Indoor Market Stall, to Chestergate, and now at a slightly larger premises on Chestergate's west side.
"The new shop is bigger and better," said Louise.
"There's now space for small workshops, and space for a small art gallery.
"We have two rooms now too.
"It was always the dream to have a bigger space. And now I have finally got it."
Louise's stock ranges from ethically sourced gifts like cards or necklaces.
Keyrings, books and chocolates are also stocked.
Lots of local gift makers have their wares stocked at Loola Loves as well.
"It hasn't sunk in yet to be honest, it is incredibly exciting," added Louise.
"I have already brought in over 50 new products across homeware, ceramics, clothing, kids and jewellery thanks to this new space.
"I would like to say a huge thank you, their support has been incredible.
"I am very lucky to have the customers that I have, many of which has been with me since the Macclesfield Indoor Market days."
This Saturday will see an all-day opening for the new premises.
"Saturday I will be open in the day as normal from 10am to 4:30pm," she explained.
""Theere will be a discount across the store.
"At 11am Marc Jackson from Macclesfield's Room for Comics will be joining us for a 'sketching out loud' session.
"In the evening we will open at 6pm for the official launch, and also the exhibition opening which features a selection of work from Macclesfield College art students.
"There will be free fizz and cake, and food from The Depot [also on Chestergate].
"There will be a DJ too to add a little atmosphere."
The opening hours will be the same as the last place, Tuesday to Saturday 12:30pm to 4:30pm, and Treacle Sundays 10:00am to 4:30pm.
Louise is keen to continue collaboration with her fellow independent businesses, as a real champion of Macclesfield's high street.
"I am excited I have found this space in this section of Chestergate as well," she revealed.
"We collaborate with so many businesses here.
"I am just surrounded by my friends really.
"I am excited to introduce over the summer holidays, story time for children on a Wednesday. Where we will invite in local authors. I will share more on that on social media soon."
Loola Loves' former unit is rumoured to become a vintage clothes shop.
Louise's business also has a web store, which offers free delivery for Macclesfield residents.
