Macclesfield's best-known pasta chef is to pop-up at a Bollington restaurant.

Jonny Mulyk has announced a series of dates he will be popping up at KIRA by Sunitha

And his return to the Macclesfield foodie scene is sooner than you think!

Jonny will bring Terroni Pastifico to Kira on November 30, December 6 and December 13.

Thousands of people have enjoyed his cooking already in Macc, having served Terroni for four years in Macclesfield's Picturedrome.

It was there where diners could order direct from Jonny, have a chat with him and indulge in his menu.

And Macclesfield foodies will be able to converse with and dine in the presence of Jonny once more, with this new pop-up at the Palmerston Street restaurant.

Jonny is originally from Manchester, but moved to Macc to set up Terroni. He is delighted to be serving once again to the people of Macc.

"It's nice to be back," said Jonny.

"I've had a bit of time away doing pop ups in and around Manchester. And I am looking forward to cooking at KIRA.

"I have also been doing private work overseas, so it's nice to be cooking for people where I live."

KIRA by Sunitha has already welcomed guest chefs like MasterChef 2023 runner-up Omar Foster (and soon to be Anurag Aggarwal), with Jonny now joining what is intended to be a long-line of guest menus at KIRA by Sunitha.

"We want our place to be a platform to support chefs in the local area," said Sunitha.

"Not every great chef has their own premises, and especially in this economic climate, we want KIRA to be a place where chefs from all over can expand their business in our welcoming fine dining setting."

The building KIRA was located in was previously an Italian restaurant, so Bollington should welcome Jonny's dishes with open arms (and mouths).

Jonny had this to add beyond Terroni's temporary stint at KIRA: "In terms of Terroni right now, I'm using it as a brand to do my pop ups and private dining," he explained.

"However, I'm currently looking for premises in the area, as me and my partner are looking to open something in the future, to add something that focuses on regional Italian cooking, fresh produce, and natural wine.

"I believe our business will give people in Macc and around the area somewhere good to go that are into great Italian food and really good wine."

And by supporting Jonny on the KIRA nights, you can help fulfil his long-term vision.
