A Macclesfield pottery studio has shut its doors.

The Clayrooms on Park Green quietly closed for good at the end of June.

It comes just shy of the venue's third birthday.

A spokesperson said: "After three years, The Clayrooms in Macclesfield has sadly closed its doors.

"We'd like to thank all our customers and friends for their support over the years.

"It's been a pleasure to be part of the community."

The Clayrooms was started by Sarah Heaton and Helen Cammiss in the Derbyshire town of Ashbourne.

Macclesfield was their second site and opened in September 2023.

Since then they have opened two more studios, one in Loughborough and one in Rowsley, in the Peak District.

While the Macclesfield studio has now shut, the other three branches all remain open.
