Macclesfield resident aims to break records with charity swim
Meet the Macclesfield woman who can't get enough of sponsored swims.
Macclesfield Leisure Centre regular Zoe Papaphilippou is about to undergo her first sponsored swim of 2023.
She aims to raise £200 for Diabetes UK, and is already a quarter of the way there (and you can donate here).
This is despite her not even dipping her toes in the water yet for her latest charity challenge.
"I have began my training for Swim22 for Diabetes UK, which starts on March 22nd till June 22nd 2023," she said.
"My goal is to swim 44 miles, my longest swim challenge yet.
"I can't wait for it to start and smash my personal best."
"I'm also hoping to raise more money than ever. Last time out, I managed to raise £100 for Aspire the spinal cord injury charity."
She also helped her friend Vivienne Landers raise hundreds for Brain Tumour Research, in yet another sponsored swim.
The member of Macclesfield seals and swim teacher is from Broken Cross.
